Who we are

Neighboo is a community platform that helps neighbours share free food and useful items to reduce waste. When we say "we", "us" or "Neighboo", we mean the operator of this app.

What we collect

  • Account data: email, display name, avatar and, optionally, Google profile info.
  • Posts you publish: title, description, category, photos and approximate location.
  • Location data: coordinates and address label you choose to attach to a post or your profile. You control this.
  • Messages: private chats between you and other neighbours to coordinate a pickup.
  • Basic usage data (device type, pages visited) to keep the service reliable and safe.

Why we use it

To run the service, show posts near you, deliver notifications, prevent abuse and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

Who can see what

Posts, display name and avatar are visible to any signed-in neighbour. Messages are only visible to you and the other person in the conversation. Your exact home address is never shown publicly — only the approximate location you attach to a post.

Payments

When you subscribe to Neighboo+ or a Business account, payment is processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.

Your rights

You can access, edit or delete your account and posts at any time from your profile. To request a full data export or deletion, contact us at privacy@neighbourly.app.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
